Question 1

What is Spidanest?

Accepted Answer

Spidanest is an AI-powered threat detection service. Paste a suspicious message, email, or link — or upload a screenshot — and it returns a threat score from 0 to 100, a risk tier, and a plain-English breakdown of the specific signals it detected and why they matter.

Question 2

What can I scan?

Accepted Answer

You can scan plain text (SMS, emails, chat messages, social-media DMs), URLs, and image screenshots of messages. On the image path, Spidanest reads the text in the screenshot and evaluates the sender, layout, and branding together — not just the words.

Question 3

Do I need an account to scan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every scan, including free ones, needs a free Spidanest account. Signing up takes a few seconds, keeps your scan history in one place, and lets us alert you when a threat you reported starts spreading.

Question 4

How many free scans do I get?

Accepted Answer

The Free plan includes up to 2 scans per day, resetting each day. For more scanning, buy Deep Scan AI (a one-time pass for 6 scans) or Spidanest Business Pro (a one-time pack of 30 scans).

Question 5

What is the difference between the two paid packs?

Accepted Answer

Both are one-time purchases - there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Deep Scan AI is a $3 pass that includes 6 scans with the full AI report on each: all detected signals, AI narrative analysis, a per-URL threat table, and a remediation guide. Spidanest Business Pro is $10 for a larger pack of 30 scans with those same full reports, plus priority processing - better value if you scan regularly for a household or small business.

Question 6

What extra detail do the paid reports include?

Accepted Answer

Free results show your threat score, risk tier, scope, and the top 3 red flags. Paid reports add every detected signal, an AI narrative that explains what campaign the content resembles, a per-URL threat breakdown, a step-by-step remediation guide, and a direct FTC reporting link.

Question 7

Is this a subscription? Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

There is nothing to cancel. Spidanest does not sell subscriptions - both Deep Scan AI (6 scans) and Spidanest Business Pro (30 scans) are one-time purchases. Your scans never expire; when a pack runs out you simply fall back to the free daily allowance until you buy another one.

Question 8

How are payments handled?

Accepted Answer

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Spidanest never sees or stores your full card details.

Question 9

How does Spidanest decide if something is a scam?

Accepted Answer

Every scan runs through three layers: deterministic heuristic pattern analysis (structural signals and known scam signatures), real-time threat intelligence via Google Safe Browsing for any URLs, and an adversarial AI adjudicator that reasons about intent, sender legitimacy, and pressure tactics. The layers are fused into a single score, and the AI layer can only raise risk — never lower it.

Question 10

What do the risk tiers mean?

Accepted Answer

LOW (0–15%) means no significant indicators. MODERATE (16–40%) means some suspicious patterns — proceed with caution. HIGH (41–70%) means multiple indicators and likely fraud. CRITICAL (71–100%) means a confirmed or near-confirmed threat — do not engage.

Question 11

Can it catch a scam even if the wording is changed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The engine normalizes text (flattening hyphens, spacing tricks, unicode look-alikes, and leetspeak) and looks at the structure of a message rather than exact keywords, while the AI layer reasons about intent. Rewording a scam does not let it slip through.

Question 12

Is it ever wrong?

Accepted Answer

Yes — no automated system is perfect. Spidanest can produce false positives (flagging safe content) and false negatives (missing a real threat). Treat the result as a strong signal, not a final verdict, and always use your own judgment.

Question 13

What happens to the content I submit?

Accepted Answer

Content you submit is processed by our detection engine and trusted third-party AI providers solely to perform the analysis. A limited record of scans may be retained to operate and improve the service. Please do not submit information you are not authorized to share.

Question 14

Is Spidanest affiliated with the brands it detects?

Accepted Answer

No. Any brand, company, or agency names that appear during analysis are referenced only to identify impersonation attempts. Spidanest is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those parties.

Question 15

I think I was scammed. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Stop engaging immediately and do not send money or share further information. Contact your bank or payment provider if funds may be at risk, change any exposed passwords, and report the incident to your local authorities. In the U.S., you can also report to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
